Yes - Avatar is really 'Wow!', but also seems to have a pretty strong World of Warcraft (WoW) feel about it.  If you've played the game you'll be able to spot the floating landmasses of Nagrand and the lush forests of Un Goro!  In addition, you get to see how the lead character goes from having their standard land based mount, through to their flying and epic mount.

Hopefully when Blizzard do release the World of Warcraft movie, they will steal (borrow...?  learn...?) as much from Avatar, as Avatar obviously did from them.

Definitely worth seeing - it is the first 3D movie I have seen where the technology makes the movie feel real, without having to resort to 'flying out at you' special effects.   Oscar worth stuff.
