Bang! is a card game that has made the transition to iPad application very well.  The tutorial is good at teaching the basics of the game - I had not played the card game when I picked this up.

During the game, a solo player takes one of four roles - the sheriff, the deputy, the renegade or an outlaw.  Each of these roles has a specific objective:

• The Sheriff wins if all the outlaws and the renegade are killed;
• The Deputy wins if all the outlaws and the renegades are killed, and the Sheriff is alive at the end of the game;
• The Renegade wins if the Outlaws are killed first, then the Deputy and the Sherrif;
• The Outlaw wins if the Sheriff and the Deputy are killed.

Only the role of Sheriff is declared, all other roles are secret.  During each player's turn they draw new cards which provide special abilities, such as allowing you to shoot at other players, dodge players shooting at you, drawing additional cards, etc.

Each player has a limited number of life point - in an 'Easy' game, all players have the same number of life points, however in 'Normal' play the various characters have different special abilities (such as drawing additional cards) and may have less life points.

There are some cards that can be played to give additional abilities to players and stay in their area - the blue and green cards - such as the barrell that you can try hide behind if shot at, or a bible that takes a bullet instead of you!

The enjoyment in the game comes from the bluffing, guessing and variety of cards and options in how you play.

There is also a 'Play and pass'' option, allowing more than one player, however I haven't tried it yet.

A typical solo game can take from 5 minutes to 15 minutes on Easy, and can be quicker and longer on Normal.  The artwork, pace and quality of finish all make Bang! a great addition to my growing collection of iPad games.
