At last, October! Whilst I understand that this is the month of Oktober Fest (mainly beer drinking) to the vast majority of people who think of October and Germany, for the gaming community it is Essen Spiel month!

We already have a whole lot of info on Essen for people interested in attending via the top left menu link, however we also wanted to let you know about some of the people we are hoping to meet up with when we get there.

We have interviews planned with the a few publishers - MayFair, Out of the Box, Gigantoskop, Japon and Ystari - as well as some game designers.  Some of the games we are looking forward to looking at include:

• 7 Wonders
• Great Fire of London
• TOTEMO
• Lords of Vegas
• Genesis
• Cat and Chocolate

Aside from board games and card games we're going to be looking in on other suppliers to the industry, RPG'ers, LARP'ers and those wonderful miniatures suppliers.

As our next issue is going to focus heavily on Essen we will try cram in as many discussions, take as many pictures and review as many games as we reasonably can.

After all, it's the least we can do for those that can't make it in person!
